Introduction of Large-scale Bauxite Mine Project in Samar Island, Philippines
Mine location: The Philippine bauxite mine is located in Western Samar Province on Samar Island in the central part of the Philippines.
The mining rights are held by two companies: AMPI and BARI.
AMPI covers an area of 66.94 square kilometers and has obtained a large-scale mining license granted by the Philippine government for this mining area.
BARI covers an area of 55.19 square kilometers and has obtained a large-scale mining license granted by the Philippine government.
The minerals in this mining area are mainly gibbsite with high aluminum-silicon ratio, which can be applied to the low-temperature Bayer process alumina production process, with low energy consumption, low alkali consumption and low production cost.
